Gusty Winds in the Mid-Atlantic and Northeast; Atmospheric River to Impact the Northwest

Gusty winds are expected from portions of the Mid-Atlantic into the Northeast through the night following the system that brought rain to the area. An atmospheric river will move into the Northwest late today into Saturday bringing moderate to heavy rainfall, mountain snow, windy conditions, and high surf to the area over the weekend. First Triple Digit Temperature of 2018!

The Grand Junction Regional Airport officially hit 101 degrees on Wednesday, June 13th at 3:54 PM MDT! This was the first time Grand Junction hit the triple digits this year, and it was the first time since July 18, 2017! Wednesday's high also breaks the record for June 13th which was 100 degrees, last set 100 years ago in 1918.
