Planning Tips for Hay Harvesting

  • Curing Window: Check the 3-day precipitation and minimum humidity maps in conjunction to ensure a dry window of 3–5 consecutive days for proper field curing.
  • Dew & Relative Humidity: Cross-reference with the Today, Tomorrow, Day 3 Forecast tab for Minimum/Maximum Relative Humidity maps to anticipate morning dew and drying rates.
  • Extended Drying: For longer-term planning, monitor the 6-10 and 8-14 day precipitation probability maps to time final cuttings before late-season moisture shifts.
