.DISCUSSION...
Moisture decreases this week, but enough remains in place to keep
mountain showers and thunderstorms in the forecast each
afternoon. The potential for localized heavy rainfall keeps flash
flood and debris flow concerns elevated for newer burn scars and
areas of susceptible terrain. Other concerns with afternoon
convection include lightning and gusty outflow winds near or above
35 mph. Stronger afternoon wind gusts on Friday and Saturday may
allow for a return of localized critical fire weather conditions.
