Areas of Severe Thunderstorms and Excessive Rainfall through This Weekend

Several rounds of severe thunderstorms are ongoing and expected from the central and southern High Plains to the Southeast U.S. through Sunday. Large hail, damaging winds, and a few tornadoes will be possible. Thunderstorms may also bring areas of excessive rainfall which could bring flooding to parts of the aforementioned areas through Sunday. Read More >

Another Pacific storm will be moving through the region today. This storm will bring more snow to the high country this afternoon with snow persisting through early Tuesday morning. New snowfall  accumulations will average 4 to 8 inches for most of our mountain areas with lighter accumulations in the valleys. Winter Weather Advisories remain in effect for much of the region.  Winds will also be gusting to 50 mph at the peaks with blowing snow at the passes.
