A heat advisory is in effect for the western two-thirds of the area for today. For Tuesday, the advisory will be for all of Central Alabama. Afternoon heat indices each day will go up to 105 to 109 degrees. Remember to stay hydrated & limit strenuous time outdoors in the afternoon. If you have AC, use it. Fans may not be adequate. Wear light-weight, light-colored clothing.
There is a level 1 of 5 risk for severe storms with isolated damaging winds Tuesday evening in Northeast Alabama.
There is a level 1 of 5 risk for severe storms with isolated damaging winds Wednesday afternoon and evening in Southeast Alabama.
For this afternoon, mostly dry except for isolated showers and storms across the southern part of the area. Highs in the low to mid 90s.
For tonight, a stray evening shower or storm will be possible, otherwise mostly clear and dry. Lows in the mid 70s.
