There is a risk for severe thunderstorms to affect Central Alabama tonight onto early Monday morning. Threats include damaging winds up to 70 mph, tornadoes, and hail up to quarter size.
After tonight's stormy weather, cold conditions are forecast across Central Alabama for the early part of the week. Widespread freezing temperatures in the 20s are expected Tuesday morning and in the 20s to near 30 Wednesday morning.
Through 1 PM CDT Monday. Sustained winds 15 to 20 MPH. Peak gusts up to 40 MPH.
Increasing cloudiness with highs in the upper 70s to 80. Southerly winds will become 15-20 mph sustained with gusts near 40 mph.
Widespread showers and storms. Severe storms are expected after 9 PM. Lows in the 30 north to low 50s in the southeast. South wind 15-20 mph, with gusts to 40 mph.
Precipitation ending through the morning. We could see a mix of rain/snow during the morning across the north. No impacts expected. Highs in the 40s to mid 50s.
