Hurricane Joaquin
(Pronounced:  wah-KEEN)

Hurricane Joaquin is expected to move north from the Bahamas during the next five days. The center is now likely to remain offshore as it moves north along the eastern seaboard this weekend. Although there remains uncertainty in the details of how significantly the storm will impact the region, a storm track that remains further east and offshore would present less impact. But be aware that flooding from heavy rain, damaging winds and tidal flooding is possible Sunday night into Monday.
