High temperatures are expected to top out in the mid 80s to lower 90s both Tuesday and Wednesday with minimal chances of precipitation. While rain chances are small, a strong storm or two can not be ruled out over the far NW. today Moisture does increase Thursday as a cold front moves through and some stronger storms can not be completely ruled out.
There is a small chance of seeing some gusty winds and large hail over the far NW corner of the state this afternoon and evening.
A cold front will move through the state on Thursday with almost all of Arkansas under a marginal chance of severe weather. The primary concern will be gusty winds with any stronger storms that develop.

We really had to dig into the archives for this one. One this day way back in 1833, a major flood was on occurring on the Arkansas River all the way from Fort Smith to Little Rock to Pine Bluff. The stage at Little Rock was estimated to be 34.6 feet on the 17th.
