A nice fall day is in the forecast on Friday with morning lows ranging from the lower to mid 40s across parts of north and northeast Arkansas and 50s elsewhere. High pressure over Arkansas will promote light north to northeast winds with mostly sunny skies across the state.
Thursday and Friday will contain a more "Fall-like" feel across most of Arkansas as temperatures begin to slowly uptick into the weekend, a trend that will continue into the following workweek.
A very low chance of an isolated shower/thunderstorm or two will be possible Friday afternoon across far northern Arkansas as a disturbance moves just close enough to Arkansas which may coerce activity in Missouri to cross into far northern Arkansas.
On this day, in 1897 (128 years ago), Keesee's Ferry (near Dodd City in Marion County) recorded measurable rainfall after a 57 day period of no rainfall. The weather observer there at the time recalls people hauling water for miles.
