Last Map Update: Mon, May 25, 2026 at 1:10:28 am CDT

Here is a quick look at your forecast for the next week or so. Temperatures look to be pretty close to normal for late May with nothing out of the ordinary expected. The overall pattern will remain unsettled with an ongoing chance of showers and a few thunderstorms. It should be noted that it will not be raining everywhere all the time but the pattern supports at least a chance for precipitation through the period.
Data continues to point to another mild night tonight and another warm day on Monday. Look for low temperatures Monday morning to range from the upper 50s to mid 60s and highs Monday afternoon to make it into the 70s.

A frontal system remains draped over the area and will keep unsettled conditions in place through the remainder of the weekend. Precipitation chances are pretty low today for any particular area but ramp up for Monday.
On this day in 2011, several strong tornadoes tore cross parts of western Arkansas. The town of Denning in Franklin county experienced an EF4 tornado while Clarksville in Johnson county saw an EF3.
Conditions this afternoon favor cold air funnels to form across the eastern half of Arkansas. While these may look like tornadoes the process in how they form and potential hazards are very different.
