Strong to severe thunderstorms are expected to develop ahead of an advancing cold front before becoming a line of storms across central Arkansas. Timeframe of strong to severe thunderstorms is expected between Tuesday afternoon into Tuesday night.
The primary hazards will initially be large hail, damaging wind gusts, and a few tornadoes with any severe storms that can remain isolated, then storms are expected to become a line as they push southeastward across the state into Tuesday evening and Tuesday night with a main hazard of damaging wind gusts.
Into the day on Wednesday, as the cold front pushes through the state, a slight chance of severe thunderstorms will be possible across southern Arkansas with damaging winds and large hail as the main concerns.
Rain will be possible this week as a cold front moves across the state. The highest rainfall totals are expected across eastern portions of the state. Most of the rain is expected to fall between Tuesday and Wednesday. #arwx
