Temperatures will run above normal levels into early next week, where more unsettled weather is likely to settle in across Arkansas through middle and into the latter portions of next week.
Forecast lows tonight into Saturday morning will be in the mid 60s to mid 70s. Temperatures will cool slightly for Saturday night into Sunday morning, with lows in the low 60s to low 70s.
There will be some chances for showers and isolated thunderstorms today and again on Saturday morning. The best chances each day will be limited to northwest sections.
While some chances for showers and thunderstorms do exist today into the weekend for some areas...the overall threat for seeing severe weather will remain low. However, chances for showers and thunderstorms increase early next week, and the threat for some strong to severe thunderstorms does increase for northwest portions of the state.
The potential for seeing above normal conditions has shifted east recently within the period 6 to 10 days (May 20-24), with the best chances of above normal conditions now east of Arkansas. The potential for seeing above normal rainfall does remain elevated during that same time frame.
