Current radar loop across Arkansas.
Severe weather confidence on Friday continues to warrant a Slight Risk (level 2 of 5) across the entire state of Arkansas. All severe weather hazards will be possible including a few tornadoes, but the primary threats will be large hail and damaging wind gusts.
An unsettled pattern will lead to a potential for strong to severe thunderstorms across Arkansas, especially across the western flank of Arkansas.
Severe weather potential continues into Sunday. At the moment, western and central Arkansas appear the most impacted, but this area is subject to change.
Monday severe weather chances continue as a cold front finally moves through the state and a warm front lifts northward.
Lows should fall into the mid 50s to lower 60s.
The pattern this week will be fairly tranquil under the influence of upper level ridging. By late week into the weekend, conditions will become more favorable for increased rain chances as an active southwesterly flow takes shape.
