A Flood Watch remains in effect for the northern half of the state through Monday Evening. Portions of northwest to north and east Arkansas have received between 3 to 5 inches of rain as of Saturday afternoon. Additional rainfall between 2 to 4 inches and up to 4 to 6 inches through Monday evening in some locations will quickly yield a flash flooding threat.
Additional significant rainfall is still expected over much of the state through Tuesday night. Several areas have seen significant rainfall of 2 to 5 inches already, resulting in a higher vulnerability to flash flooding with additional rain.
Here is a look at 24 hour estimated rainfall as of 12 PM CDT on Saturday. Portions of north and northeast Arkansas have seen significant rainfall up to now (3 to 5 inches or more), with much of the state seeing 1 to 3 inches of rain so far. Unfortunately, more rainfall is still expected.
