The heat is on across Arkansas for the next week or so as upper level high pressure dominates. Heat index values will be very high so now is the time to prepare.
Hot temperatures and elevated humidity will persist for the next several days at least. It is imperative to stay hydrated, have a way to cool off and as always, check the backseat!
I do not think this graphic needs a lot of explaining. Let's just say its not very often you see the pink coloring on this type of map in the middle of summer, in Arkansas. Needless to say, its going to be hot.
