According to the latest drought monitor, much of the state is still in severe or worse drought conditions. While recent rains did provide some temporary relief in drought conditions, maintaining or worsening drought conditions are likely to continue.
Friday morning forecast low temperatures are expected to fall into the mid 40s to mid 50s statewide. Friday afternoon high temperatures are forecast to peak in the low 60s to low 70s across Arkansas.
Chances for rainfall will be limited to far southern Arkansas on Friday. A lower-end chance for a few showers does exist for portions nearing central Arkansas, but the best chances for rainfall will reside nearest the Arkansas/Louisiana border.
According to the 6 to 10 Day outlook from the Climate Prediction Center Arkansas can expect above average precipitation and below average temperatures.
