Last Map Update: Sun, Sep 13, 2026 at 1:12:45 pm CDT

Sunday high temperatures will vary from the mid 90s to near 100 degrees across the state of Arkansas. Low temperatures overnight into the early morning hours on Monday will range from the upper 60s to mid 70s across the state.
A peak at the forecast across the state over the next seven days. Temperatures and heat index values will trend upward going into the upcoming week. Precipitation chances will be low to very low over the period, but chances will exist.
A Heat Advisory will be in effect today across a good portion of Arkansas. Heat Index values within the advisory area may reach between 105 and 109 degrees.
Heat Risk is expected to be in Major to Extreme category across a good portion of the state through mid/late week. Temperatures across the state are running well above average, 10-15 degrees above average, for both highs and lows for middle part of September.
A burn ban remains in effect for 67 of the 75 counties in Arkansas. Recent rainfall during the Thursday night and into Friday brought appreciable rainfall to parts of Arkansas, but wildfire danger remains high through the state.
Rainfall was beneficial over the northwest half of the state over the past 3 days (Thursday-Saturday). Across these areas, amounts in excess of 3" was observed or estimated via doppler radar. Unfortunately, southeast portions of the state had pockets of little to no precipitation therefore not improving drought or fire conditions at all across these areas.
