A slow moving storm system will move through the state over the weekend, with increasing chances for showers and thunderstorms. While mainly locally heavy rainfall is expected, there may be some areas across western into northern Arkansas that could see better chances for a bit more widespread heavy rainfall.
While the threat for organized severe weather looks to remain low through the weekend, some isolated strong to severe thunderstorms may be possible on Sunday across western sections of the state. Gusty winds, locally heavy rainfall, and a brief tornado or two may be possible with the strongest activity.
