on Record...
...The State As A Whole, And Many Locations Within The State Have Also Seen
One of the Wettest Winters On Record...
With the heavy rain that fell last week, it`s hardly surprising that February of 2018
quickly became one of the wettest Februarys on record at many locations in Arkansas. This
also bumped up the rainfall totals for the winter season significantly, and there were some
locations that ended up with a top five wettest winter.
For the state as a whole, it appears that February 2018 was the wettest February since
1939, and preliminarily will go down as the wettest February on record since state
averages have been tabulated (1895).
.Record Wettest Februarys...
Listed below are locations that have set a new all-time record rainfall for the month
of February, as well as the previous record February for comparison. Little Rock
recorded its wettest February since 1882, and Mount Ida recorded its wettest
February since 1894.
