Hazardous winds begin early this morning lasting through mid Sunday afternoon, especially in the gaps of the Guadalupe/Delaware Mountains. This includes Carlsbad Caverns NP.

Sub-freezing temperatures are anticipated late Sunday night into Monday morning across the highlighted areas. Be sure to protect plants and bring pets indoors from the cold!

Temperatures are going to feel like a roller-coaster over the next few days! Warmer than usual temperatures for early November are expected today before a cold front this evening brings much cooler weather Sunday and Monday accompanied with breezy to strong winds.

Colder weather has arrived. Freezing temperatures are expected Monday morning especially across portions of southeast New Mexico, the northern Permian Basin, and higher terrain. Be sure to protect plants and bring pets indoors!
