Isolated severe storms are possible across parts of the Florida Peninsula and the Great Lakes to Lower Missouri Valley and south-central Plains late this afternoon and early evening. On February 21, 2008, Susan Spears and Pat Vesper of the National Weather Service, Midland/Odessa presented a Department of Commerce Honored Institution Award to the Zia Gas Plant of Hobbs, New Mexico.
