Most of the region is outlooked in a marginal (1/5) risk for severe weather with portions of west Tennessee and north Mississippi in a slight (2/5) risk. The main threats today are expected to be damaging winds and hail.

A Sight (level 2/5) risk of severe storms is forecast for Friday afternoon and evening in areas along and south of I-40. Severe storms will be capable of damaging winds and hail.

A few thunderstorms tonight mainly over northern sections of the Mid- South. Lows in the low to mid 60s.

Numerous showers and thunderstorms expected Friday. Some storms could be severe with damaging winds and hail possible. Highs in mid 70s and lower 80s.
