Dry weather with mostly clear skies are forecast overnight, with lows in the mid 60s to low 70s. Patchy fog with the potential for visibility reductions to 1 mile or less are forecast over Lake county and the Treasure Coast Thursday morning. Over the next few days, dry weather persists with above normal temperatures forecast each afternoon.
High pressure builds over the southeastern US and the state of Florida late this week, with temperatures reaching above normal values and even nearing record high temperatures in some spots. Heat index values are anticipated to reach the mid 90s to low 100s over the weekend into next week, with a Minor to Moderate HeatRisk each day.
There is a Minor to Moderate HeatRisk each day with the potential for Major HeatRisk across some portions of the Orlando metro on Monday. A Moderate HeatRisk affects most people sensitive to heat, especially those without effective cooling and/or adequate hydration.
