Strong to locally damaging winds, frequent lightning, hail and locally heavy rainfall will be the main threats.

Limit time outdoors, take plenty of breaks in air-conditioned spaces, and stay hydrated. Never leave children or pets unattended in a vehicle!

There is a low (10%) chance of tropical development as the system moves slowly westward. However, regardless of any development shower and storm chances rise, with the potential for locally heavy rainfall and minor flooding this week as moisture increases ahead of the front.
