Click/tap image to enlarge | Very warm today despite considerable mid and high clouds at times. A delayed sea breeze will allow even coastal sections to warm into the upper 80s. Lower 90s are forecast over the interior. Isolated storms may affect portions of Lake and Volusia counties late in the day, including the adjacent intracoastal and nearshore Atlantic waters. Otherwise, it will be dry.

The hottest day will be Saturday with strong and gusty Southwest winds producing a very sensitive fire weather day. Scattered to numerous showers and storms will accompany a cold front late Saturday into Sunday bringing much needed rain and cooler temperatures.

This maintenance is important for the integrity of the radome structure, which protects the radar from hazardous weather.
