Scattered to numerous showers and isolated strong storms are forecast today, primarily over the interior. High temperatures will range the mid to upper 80s along the coast and low to mid 90s inland.
A Marginal Risk (Level 1 out of 5) for severe storms exists during the afternoon and evening hours, mainly south of a line from Lake Kissimmee to Melbourne. Main storm threats include hail up to 1.5” in diameter, strong to locally damaging wind gusts to 40-60 mph, cloud-to-ground lightning, and locally heavy rainfall (up to 1-2”). There is also a very low (less than 2%) chance for an isolated brief tornado.

Peak heat indices pushing 100F each day with afternoon highs in the upper 80s at the coast and low to mid 90s inland. A Moderate rip current risk at the central FL Atlantic beaches daily.
