Preliminary Event Summary: Just prior to 4 PM CDT on Wednesday, May 17th, a tornado touched down near the Cuming-Stanton County line, damaging a farmstead. The tornado lasted for approximately 5 minutes, traveling 0.38 miles, with a maximum path width of 50 yards. A National Weather Service survey team has determined that the tornado produced up to EF-1 damage with winds estimated as high as 108 mph.
