Thunderstorms are expected to develop regionwide Wednesday evening. There is the potential for isolated severe thunderstorms capable of producing damaging wind gusts and large hail. Thunderstorms will also be capable of producing brief heavy downpours.
Wednesday will be the warmest day of the year so far with several record temperatures threatened! While it might sound like a fun idea to hang out around or in lakes or rivers, it is not a good idea, as water is still very cold this year and can rapidly cause cold water shock and/or hypothermia resulting in an increased risk of drowning.
