High pressure this week will have the potential to trap pollutants near the surface over portions of Eastern Washington and North Idaho. This could lead to degradation of air quality in the low lying areas. An Air Stagnation Advisory has been issued for some locations through noon Thursday.
New Year's Eve looks dry and partly cloudy, with temperatures in the lower to mid-20s around the mountains, mid to upper 20s most other places, withs some 30s toward the L-C Valley.
