Areas of Severe Thunderstorms and Heat This Weekend

Severe thunderstorms today may produce damaging winds, large hail, tornadoes, and flooding over parts of the Plains into the Missouri Valley. On Sunday, scattered severe thunderstorms capable of damaging wind gusts are expected across the Mid-Atlantic vicinity.     • 10th Warmest year on record at 47.2 degrees, 1.6 degrees above normal.
    • 40th Wettest year with 12.05 inches, 98.6% of normal.
    • 1st Least Snowiest year with 34.8 inches, 48.5% of normal. (Previous record was 1943 with 38 inches)
    • 3rd Least Snowiest snowfall season (July 2024-June 2025) with 42.4 inches.
    • Highest wind gust was 78 mph on December 17th. There was a gust to 70 mph on February 5th.
       
  • Monthly Temperatures: 8th warmest November and 1st warmest December
     
  • Monthly Precipitation: 6th driest February and 6th wettest September
     
  • Monthly Snowfall: 3rd least snowy February,
