A slow-moving low pressure system produced abundant precipitation across most of west and central Wyoming Saturday night and Sunday.  Southeast Washakie county, most of Johnson county and eastern Natrona county received widespread amounts of 1 to 2 inches of water.  The precipitation fell mostly as rain below 6000 feet.  Portions of the Bighorn Range and Casper Mountain received a foot or more of snow from this storm.  The abundant moisture was welcomed in areas that are currently in moderate to severe drought along and near the Bighorn Mountains.  Strong winds also accompanied this storm with a peak wind gust of 66 mph recorded at the Buffalo/Johnson County Airport early Sunday morning.
