Heavy Rain for Parts of Texas & Louisiana; Very Warm Across the Plains and Midwest

Tropical Depression Imelda will bring heavy rainfall to portions of coastal Texas and Louisiana through Thursday. Flash flood watches remain in effect, including for metro Houston. Elsewhere, high pressure and mainly dry weather will bring temperatures as much as 20 degrees above normal from the Central Plains to Upper Midwest.
