 Fire Weather Planning Forecast
 National Weather Service Charleston WV
 248 PM EDT Wed Sep 2 2026

 .DISCUSSION...
High pressure will continue to bring hot weather through Friday
depending upon the timing of a cold front approaching from the
northwest on Friday. Heat Advisories are now in effect through
 Friday afternoon.

A cold front is likely to bring rounds of showers and storms late
Thursday afternoon through Friday, but may push far enough through
the area for drier weather, with more seasonable temperatures, to
arrive early in the upcoming Labor Day Holiday weekend.
