 .DISCUSSION...
Rain overspreads the area today amid cool temperatures, as a low
pressure system and an associated warm front shifts northeast
towards the region. Rain could be heavy at times, especially given
any thunderstorm activity. Localized flooding could occur in some
areas, particularly in locations impacted by heavy rain the last
couple of days. A Flood Watch remains in effect for northeast
Kentucky, far western West Virginia, and much of southeast Ohio into
 Saturday morning.

Additional rounds of showers are likely each day of the Memorial Day
holiday weekend, with mainly afternoon and evening thunderstorms
also possible. Temperatures will recover to near or a few degrees
above normal beginning Saturday. Unsettled weather looks to continue
for the start of the new work week.
