.DISCUSSION...
Dry conditions continue for the middle Ohio Valley today and
tonight, while showers and thunderstorms are possible in and near
the central Appalachians this afternoon and tonight.
A potent system for mid Summer has the potential to bring impactful
severe weather to the area Tuesday. A high-end damaging wind threat,
hail, and the chance for tornadoes exist with an encouraging
environment for supercell formation as well as organized convection.
Timing currently appears to be Tuesday afternoon and evening in at
least two rounds. Flash flooding is also a concern with heavy
rainfall from thunderstorms, especially where heavy rainfall is most
persistent or repetitive.
Drier and cooler weather arrives Wednesday behind this upcoming,
complicated severe weather event.
