 National Weather Service Charleston WV
 1037 PM EDT Fri Jun 20 2025

 .DISCUSSION...
Dry conditions are expected through early next week. Heat and
humidity builds through the middle of next week with heat indices
cresting 100 degrees for much of the lower elevations starting on
 Sunday.
A heat watch has been issued for most of the lowlands. This could be
a prolonged heat wave, with warm, muggy nights providing little
relief. Impacts of heat could accumulate over time.

Precipitation chances return to the forecast mid-week and beyond,
primarily in the form of afternoon pop up showers and thunderstorms.
