 .DISCUSSION...
After another very warm evening, and warm and muggy overnight, the
new work week will bring a return to unsettled weather, but with
 little relief from the heat.

High pressure that dominated the Holiday weekend will give way to a
slow, wavy front that will wobble around but remain mostly north of
 the area all week.

Monday will still be hot, and a bit more humid, with the chance for
showers and thunderstorms returning in the afternoon, as the front
makes its initial approach. Lowland heat indices could get up into
the lower to mid 100s, especially in urban spots, before the
 thunderstorms form.

Showers and thunderstorms, mainly but not exclusively during the
afternoon and evening hours, will remain a possibility throughout the
week. The clouds and shower and thunderstorm activity will result in
slightly lower high temperatures during the week after Monday, but
it will remain humid, and nights will remain warm and muggy.

Thunderstorms could bring heavy downpours, which could lead to
localized flooding, especially over the middle Ohio Valley on
Monday, but then most anywhere on Tuesday, and then mainly over the
central Appalachians, but with increasing uncertainty, after that.
