 .DISCUSSION...
Rain in the wake of a cold front that crossed this morning will move
out of the lowlands this afternoon, and the mountains this evening.
Temperatures will end up in the 40s throughout the area by late
this afternoon, as colder air keeps pouring into the area behind
the cold front. This will set us up with below freezing
 temperatures for lows tonight.

Then, as the high crosses the area Saturday evening, frost and
freeze conditions are likely Saturday night. Those with early
emergent vegetation should take steps to protect it from the cold
both tonight and Saturday night. Also make sure outdoor plumbing is
 winterized.

A warming trend will commence in a noticeable manner Sunday, and
unseasonably warm air returns for the new week, with highs back up
in the 70s and 80s, along with the chance for mainly late day
 thunderstorms by midweek.
