Hot & Humid This Week!

A dangerous heat wave continues through at least Friday with temperatures in the mid to upper 90s in the lower elevations, with high humidity making it feel like over 105 degrees. Extreme Heat Warnings and Heat Advisories are in effect. Warm overnight lows in the 70s offer little relief. .DISCUSSION...
The heat and humidity remains in place into the weekend. The hottest
conditions will be observed today through Friday with temperatures
in the lowlands reaching the mid to upper 90s to around 100 degrees.
Oppressive humidity will create dangerous heat indices in the upper
90s to the mid 100s. Heat safety should be exercised.

Active weather returns Friday with chances for isolated showers and
thunderstorms in the afternoon and evening. Coverage and likelihood
of showers and thunderstorms increase through the weekend as the
ridge of high pressure breaks down and a front moves in.
