 Fire Weather Planning Forecast
 National Weather Service Charleston WV
 252 AM EDT Mon Apr 6 2026

 .DISCUSSION...
A prolonged period of very dry conditions is expected to take hold
across the area this week. Minimum relative humidity most afternoons
will generally dip into the 20 to 30 percent range, although pockets
of relative humidity in the teens cannot be ruled out, particularly
from Tuesday onward. Winds will occasionally become gusty during the
afternoon hours area wide, with wind gusts in the teens to 20s not
 uncommon.

Although there is the small chance for a light passing shower across
the northeastern mountains later today, the next arrival of a
wetting rain is uncertain at this time. Light rain is possible with
the approach of a front late in the week into the weekend across
parts of Southeast Ohio and the Mid Ohio Valley region, but overall,
dry weather is anticipated to continue across much of the area,
 possibly even into next week.
