 .DISCUSSION...
High pressure building surface and aloft maintains mainly dry
weather throughout the extended Holiday weekend, but with increasing
heat. The humidity will remain on the more manageable side, with
heat indices generally staying under the 100 degree mark for all but
a few areas, mainly urban spots and on Sunday.

The next work week will be characterized by a transition to a more
unsettled weather pattern, as the dominant high will be replaced by
an approaching frontal system from the west. This will lead to an
increased chance for mainly diurnal showers and thunderstorms. It
will still be hot on Monday, ahead of the initial approach of the
cold front, with lowland heat indices possibly getting up to around
 100 degrees before thunderstorms form.
