 .DISCUSSION...
Dry and warmer today courtesy of high pressure. A weather system
passing to our south will bring rain to the region later tonight and
Sunday, along with cooler temperatures. The heaviest rain is
expected across southern West Virginia and southwest Virginia, where
up to one inch is possible. Further north, rain will be lighter. A
mixture of rain and wet snow is anticipated in the northern
mountains, with light accumulations of an inch or two possible
across the highest peaks. Dry and much warmer weather returns for
the work week, with high temperatures reaching the 60s by Tuesday
across portions of the lowlands, as a steady warming trend continues.
