Winter Weather Headlines Issued for First Snow Event of the Season

A blast of Arctic air tonight into Monday will usher a changeover from rain to snow for the start of the new week. In the mountains, a winter storm warning has been issued where 4–6” of snow with local higher amounts will be. A winter weather advisory has been issued for 2-4" across portions of the lowlands and mountains. 1-2" of snowfall is expected elsewhere across the lowlands. Read More >

 .DISCUSSION...
 A change over to all snow is expected this morning with rounds of 
 snow showers expected through today and tonight. 1 to 4 inches of 
 snowfall expected across the lowlands and 3 to 6 inches across the 
 mountains with locally higher amounts possible, especially above 
 3,500 feet. The first winter weather products of the season are in 
 effect. Winds will be strong, gusting between 25 to 40 mph into 
 Tuesday. Temperatures will feel more like mid January than early
