.DISCUSSION...
Dry conditions continue for the middle Ohio Valley today and
tonight, while showers and thunderstorms are possible in and near
the central Appalachians this afternoon and tonight.
A potent system for mid Summer has the potential to bring impactful
severe weather to the area Tuesday. Damaging winds, hail, and a
tornado or two will be possible, in addition to heavy rain. Timing
for severe storms currently appears to be Tuesday afternoon and
evening in at least two rounds. Flash flooding is also a concern
with heavy rainfall from thunderstorms, especially where heavy
rainfall is most persistent or repetitive.
Drier and cooler weather arrives Wednesday through Friday, with
additional storm chances forecast this weekend.
