 .DISCUSSION...
The area will turn much colder today, with many places waking up to
teens to low 20s this morning. Cold Weather Advisories and Winter
Weather Advisories have been issued for the central and northern
mountains into this afternoon with the higher elevations lasting
 into Friday morning.

Snow showers and even a few snow squalls later this morning could
lead to slick road conditions across much of the area for the
morning commute. By afternoon, most snow showers will turn to
flurries except for the higher terrain who may see some additional
accumulations into the late afternoon and early evening.

After a brief break tonight into Friday, active weather returns
through the weekend with occasional snow showers and below normal
 temperatures.
