An Upcoming Winter Storm Will Impact the Sunday Evening and Monday Morning Commute

Winter weather returns beginning late tonight and is expected to prevail into Monday. During which time, several inches of snow will fall across the lowlands and significant amounts nearing a foot of snow is possible over the higher West Virginia mountains.  .DISCUSSION...
 Winter returns tonight and Sunday. This system will bring much 
 colder temperatures and accumulating snow overnight through Monday. 
 Precipitation may start as rain early this evening, transitioning to 
 all snow late tonight through Monday. Hazardous travel conditions 
 are anticipated under heavy snow.
 
 Temperatures will plummet into the mid to lower 20s Sunday night, 
 perhaps producing a flash freeze of any lingering surface moisture, 
 resulting in additional dangerous icy travel conditions across most 
 of the area Sunday night into Monday. 
 
 Additional precipitation chances arrive with a couple mid to late 
 week systems.
