 Showers will continue into tonight as a cold front crosses through 
 the region, with activity primarily confined to the higher terrain. 
 Fog will develop overnight across portions of the area, particularly 
 across valley locations. An extended period of mainly dry weather 
 begins on Wednesday, along with a brief break from the heat and 
 humidity. Hot weather returns for the Fourth of July and into the 
 holiday weekend.
