 National Weather Service Charleston WV
 241 PM EDT Tue Mar 17 2026

 .DISCUSSION...
Scattered snow showers will continue today and could be locally
heavy at times, resulting in quick reductions in visibility. Dry
weather moves in area wide by late this evening. A hard freeze is
expected again tonight, as temperatures drop into the 10s to around
 20. This prolonged hard freeze will be dangerous to any plants or
vegetation that have already started growing or blooming.

A more tranquil weather pattern settles in for the rest of the week,
with mainly dry weather persisting across the region. A steady
warming trend will begin on Wednesday and lasts through the weekend.
Lowland high temperatures could be in the 70s by Sunday.
