 Fire Weather Planning Forecast
 National Weather Service Charleston WV
 314 PM EDT Sun Apr 12 2026

 .DISCUSSION...
Dry weather is expected today. Minimum relative humidity values this
afternoon will generally bottom out between the mid 20s to mid 30s.
Breezy conditions will develop during the day, with 15 to 25 mph
 gusts from the southwest expected.

Well above normal temperatures are expected starting this afternoon
and continuing through much of next week, with even some record high
temperatures possible by midweek. The next chance for rain is during
the day on Monday. Rainfall should generally be on the light side,
but a wetting rain could occur in a few locations. Additional daily
chances for mainly afternoon rain showers and thunderstorms are
expected throughout the work week, but major relief from the dryness
is not expected on anything more than an extremely localized basis.
