 .DISCUSSION...
Dry and pleasant conditions are expected area-wide through the
balance of the work week, as high pressure remains large and in
charge. There will be some early morning river valley fog, but also
progressively warmer afternoons, as an upper-level ridge crosses.

This sets us up with a warm start to the weekend, but showers are
likely, and thunderstorms possible by late Saturday, as the next
system approaches, and then drifts southward through the area
 through Sunday.

There is not likely to be a clean cold frontal passage with this
system. Instead, a more summer-like pattern is likely to unfold
during the next work week, with weak small disturbances embedded
 within broader upper-level ridging.
