 .DISCUSSION...
 A cold front is crossing the region this morning, bringing rain 
 showers and much colder temperatures to end the work week. Rainfall 
 amounts will generally be less than an inch. Temperatures will fall 
 throughout the day, leading to a freeze across the entire area 
 tonight. If you have early blooming plants, you will want to cover 
 them up to protect them from the cold. The weekend will start chilly 
 but dry, before unseasonably warm air returns next week with highs 
 back in the 70s and 80s, along with more chances for thunderstorms.
