 .DISCUSSION...
A weak wave crosses today, bringing light snow midday and early this
afternoon. The snow will transition to rain across southern and
central West Virginia, northeast Kentucky and southwest Virginia
this afternoon. Farther north, and over the southern and central
mountains, there could be a wintry mix including light freezing rain.

Precipitation will transition to drizzle and freezing drizzle
tonight, from west to east, as the wave exits.

Unsettled weather continues into early next week, as a stronger
storm system spreads mainly rain back into the region. Some wintry
precipitation will mix in at times across parts of southeast Ohio,
northern West Virginia and in the West Virginia mountains, and the
rain may be heavy at times across southern West Virginia
northeast Kentucky and southwest Virginia on Monday.
