 Fire Weather Planning Forecast
 National Weather Service Charleston WV
 237 PM EDT Mon Apr 6 2026

 .DISCUSSION...
A dry cold front is moving through the region this afternoon,
bringing gusty northwest winds and very dry air. These dry and
breezy conditions will create an elevated fire danger today and
Tuesday. By Wednesday, high pressure moves east and brings a warm-
up. Temperatures will climb into the upper 70s and low 80s by the
weekend, with mostly dry weather continuing.

While some low end rain chances exist late this weekend into early
next week, a widespread wetting rain is not expected through the
 next 7 days.
