 Fire Weather Planning Forecast
 National Weather Service Charleston WV
 248 PM EDT Tue Aug 18 2026

 .DISCUSSION...
Areas of fog can be expected overnight and Wednesday morning, with
much of the remainder of Wednesday looking to be dry and pleasant.
However, another storm system will approach Wednesday night,
bringing rain chances back into the forecast Thursday. Flooding will
still be a concern with this next system, given the very saturated
ground and high water levels on many rivers, creeks, and streams,
however, it should be more isolated in nature than in recent days.
