 .DISCUSSION...
 Winter Storm Warnings and Winter Weather Advisories are in effect 
 for significant snow from an arctic front and clipper system 
 scheduled to roll in this evening, and continue into the morning 
 hours of New Years Day. 
 
 Some of the heaviest snowfall is forecast to occur in the hours 
 surrounding the ringing in of the New Year, so anyone traveling for 
 New Years Eve festivities are encouraged to use extra caution and 
 consider adjusting travel plans.
 
 The brisk, cold weather continues through Thursday night, and then 
 temperatures moderate closer to normal for Friday and the weekend, 
 amid a quieter weather pattern.
