Winter Weather Headlines Issued for First Snow Event of the Season

A blast of Arctic air tonight into Monday will usher a changeover from rain to snow for the start of the new week. In the mountains, a winter storm warning has been issued where 4–6” of snow with local higher amounts will be. A winter weather advisory has been issued for 2-4" across portions of the lowlands and mountains. 1-2" of snowfall is expected elsewhere across the lowlands. Read More >

Severe Weather Awareness Week is March 7-11, 2022 in Virginia! 

Severe weather knows no boundaries and impacts every individual in every region of the Commonwealth. Because of this, everyone needs to BE AWAREBE PREPAREDHAVE A PLAN!

The information we'll provide throughout the week on our Facebook and Twitter pages will help you and your loved ones be Weather Ready for the spring severe weather season.  Also, please take the time at 9:45 am on Tuesday March 8 to practice what you would do if a Tornado Warning was issued for your area.
