Little to no convergence was noted in the debris along the damage path consistent with a microburst. Building damage in Greenup consisted primarily of peeling of metal roofing, damage to outbuildings, and damage to tree limbs. After crossing the Ohio River more significant damage was noted as stronger winds arrived at the campground, significant loss of roofing was noted at the Laidback Bar and significant tree damage was noted in the adjacent camping area. A salt storage dome was also destroyed in this area. The damage path ended on the west side of Ironton OH just west of the Ironton Middle School with additional tree and roof damage noted.

The tornado caused considerable and significant tree damage with several large hardwoods snapped and uprooted. A home was severely damaged when the roof was blown off, and other homes also suffered at least minor damage. Several barns and outbuildings were destroyed. The tornado crossed the ridge between Long Branch Rd and Jacks Fork Rd and turned east, skipping along the ridgetops doing additional tree damage before lifting. Several homes were damaged by trees or had wind damage along Mallard Rd, including one home that had significant roof damage. The tornado made a slight jog to the northeast crossing Lookout Rd and US 60 before lifting. Peak wind speeds were likely reached just west of Lookout Road where tree damage indicated wind speeds reached an estimated 130 mph. The tornado damaged or destroyed several homes and businesses along US 60. One home was shifted several feet off its foundation and the metal roof was tossed approximately 350 yards to the tree line across US 60. The exact beginning and ending point of the tornado is unknown due to difficulties with access. The track may be revised if drone footage can be reviewed. This was a non- continuous path of with three notable damage locations. Significant converging tree damage was observed along Hidden Pines Lane in Cross Lanes where several large and healthy softwood trees were snapped at their bases along with uprooting of many large hardwood trees. Minor damage to homes was noted adjacent of this location along Hidden Cove. The second location where significant converging tree damage was observed was along a narrow stretch of the 5000 block Rocky Fork Road, near Tyler Mountain Memory Gardens, where a utility pole was snapped at the base along with several uprooted mixed hardwood and softwood trees. This damage extended to a subdivision on Lynn Oak Drive where several large softwood and hardwood trees were either snapped or uprooted. This included a large hardwood tree that fell on a home, which resulted in significant damage to the second story; a resident`s john boat and camper were also flipped over and crushed by large trees in this area. The final location where damage was noted occurred just south of the community of Wallace, West Virginia along the 4000 block of Sissonville Drive and Whittington Road. This is where several large softwood trees were either snapped or uprooted. This was a non-continuous path with several noted areas of concentrated damage. All damage showed a mostly divergent, non- tornadic pattern. In Saint Albans, several homes in the area just west of Cunningham Memorial Park were damaged from fallen hardwood and softwood trees of decent size and health. One home was missing a section of wall on the east side of the structure. Multiple homes in the area of Hughes Drive, Lotus Road, and Squires Drive received damage from mixed hardwood and softwood trees that have fallen. Some of the trees were rather large and healthy. In Jefferson, several trees of mixed hardwood and softwood along MacCorkle Avenue, Kanawha Terrace, Hampshire Drive, and Campbell Lane were uprooted or snapped. In Dunbar, several trees around Dutch Hollow, Grandview, and into Roxalana Road were either snapped or uprooted with some siding and shingle damage noted to several homes. A large billboard on Fairlawn Avenue, next to a restaurant and Interstate 64, was knocked over. In South Charleston, a few buildings received roof damage including the police station and the public library. The tornado continued northeast, blowing the roof off of two homes and another structure and rolling a travel trailer near where it crossed State Route 141. The last noted damage was some tin panels blown up on a barn roof shortly after the tornado crossed State Route 141. An EMS employee stationed at the nearby Lawrence County EMS Station 5 witnessed the tornado as it traveled across the field in front of the station. Some minor wind damage, not likely associated with the tornado, occurred at the Symmes Valley High School. The tornado then moved northeast over a thick forest of mixed pine and hardwood trees between Erwin Hollow Rd and Roberts Rd where drone footage shows an extensive area of leveled hardwood trees and EF2 intensity was obtained. The drone footage and ground surveys then show that the tornado weakened and the path became intermittent as it crossed Roberts Road, where a house was damaged when a tree feel on it. The last damage was noted along Oakland Road where several large pine trees were uprooted or snapped.
