Thunderstorms that develop tonight to the north may become severe this evening and into the overnight hours across parts of NE OK. Large hail and damaging winds will be the main threats. Heavy rainfall from slower moving storms that train over the same areas will increase the threat for flooding, especially locations near the OK/KS border.
A stalling frontal boundary near the Kansas state border will increase the potential for training storms which could produce areas of locally heavy rainfall. This heavy rainfall could lead to some flash flooding.
A few storms may linger from Tuesday night into Wednesday morning. Additionally, isolated storms are expected to develop on the dryline Wednesday afternoon to our west. A few of these storms could move into eastern OK during the late afternoon or evening hours. Any storm that develops would have a good chance of become severe with large hail and spotty damaging wind the main threats.
