Enjoy these above normal temperatures while you can. A strong cold front Saturday brings the coldest temperatures of the season so far, with a high chance of a hard freeze and a low to medium chance of a killing freeze to a few spots Monday morning. Keep checking those forecasts and make preparations to protect outdoor plants and pets.
Warm and windy conditions will spread over the region again on Thursday. Wind gusts near 30 mph will be common Thursday afternoon.
Temperatures are expected to remain well above average into the early part of the weekend. An Arctic cold front is on track for the latter half of the weekend with much colder conditions into the beginning of next week.
